A new SIDGS-based tunable BPF design method with controllable bandwidth

This paper provides a new method to implement substrate integrated defected ground structure (SIDGS)-based bandpass filter (BPF) with adjustable frequency and controllable bandwidth. Compared previous literature, this implements SIDGS-like resonator capable of tunable in the same plane as slotted line using varactor diode, increasing design flexibility. In addition, solves problem that BPF constituted by SIDGS cannot control bandwidth introducing T-shaped non-resonant unit. The theoretical structural are shown. Moreover, configured is fabricated measured show validity paper.
